If we had stayed top 4....
Would you still want him gone?

Yes or no

And why?

Me personally I would've wanted him to stay as he would've done a good job, when we are winning his arrogance is justified but when we are losing his arrogance rubs me up the wrong way

Re: If we had stayed top 4....
We lacked variation in style and a total lack of guile in midfield.
It was only a short space of time before our power and speed game was found out
And it was.
As i prophesied that it would be.

The only hope that we had was if ZARATE could have been utilized in midfield.but Sam couldn't play that style and we have become a team playing relegation style football since then.

How about if our league form had been pretty much the same as it has been but we won the FA Cup?

Re: If we had stayed top 4....
Why would you sack any manager who's won 20+ matches from 37 and lost 7 times?!

By the way....

Re: SO,.,..Taking the Claret and Blue specs off for a moment, Just how good are we ?
Ok so the general feeling on the thread is that we're now expected to finish between 5th - 8th...

For a 5th place finish you need around 72 - 62 points (going on the last decade)

That's about 18 wins - 20 wins!

The lowest placed 8th place has been 49 points, only twice in a decade.

Any other season usually 49 points would mean around 9th - 12th.

Re: If we had stayed top 4....
What a bizarre question. If we had finished top 4 everyone would want him to stay. And his arrogance would have been accepted as he would have done a bloody miraculous job.

As it is we are falling down the table like a sack of shit, and if the season were another 10 games longer we'd probably have half an eye on the relegation zone.

Re: If we had stayed top 4....
Depends what kind of football he was playing.

If it was shit to watch but effective then yeah i'd still want him gone, but i'd be willing to thank him. I don't go in for this 'he has got us there so deserves a chance to carry on' like you hear when teams are promoted.

Re: If we had stayed top 4....
Hugh,

The fact that Zarate is an out and out striker, the fact part of the reason he was pissed off is because he was in the hole or deep lying striker.

He is a poor mans Aguero so the idea of being integrated into midfield is fanciful.

Re: If we had stayed top 4....
If we carried on playing like we had done in the first three/four months of the season then I'd be wanting him to stay for some time longer...

A boring old cunt warus never changes its tusks though and in came the CHUCKLE BROTHERS after injuries and back to dullard, depressing wanker football again for our fans to endure...
